Gerald Custer writes the Choral Master Class feature for the GIA Quarterly. He is a conductor, composer, and author. After 15 years of teaching theory and composition at Wayne State University, he now devotes the bulk of his energies to serving the Ministry of Music at First Presbyterian Church in Farmington Hills, Michigan. He is also presently writing Preparing the Choral Score: A Handbook for Conductors and continues to compose choral music for churches and schools.
