Randall Sensmeier is Editor Emeritus at GIA Publications, Inc., where he has worked for thirty years. Recently retired, Randy edited primarily hymnic and liturgical materials, as well as instrumental and keyboard music.
He is a deacon in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and is the parish musician at San Marcos Lutheran Church, San Marcos, California. Randy’s professional activities have included hymn festival leader, recitalist, clinician, conductor, author, and composer. Among his published compositions are numerous choral octavos, keyboard and instrumental works, and 2 collections of hymn tunes. Randy has a B.Ed. and Masters in Church Music from Concordia University, Chicago, Illinois. He lives in the San Diego area with Joyce, his spouse of 51 years. His favorite activities are spending time with children and grandchildren, and year-round gardening.
