Gregg Sewell
Senior Engraving Specialist

Gregg Sewell is GIA’s Senior Engraving Specialist. He has more than forty years of experience as a music editor and engraver working for various publishing houses. Early in his career, Gregg served on the theory and composition faculty at Samford University’s School of Music, where he was also Composer-in-Residence. He went on to establish EditWorks, an editing, engraving, and creative consultancy firm serving the music publishing industry, before coming to GIA in 2007 as a textbook editor. In 2010, Gregg moved to the music engraving side of the company.

Currently, Gregg is Director of Music Ministries / Choirs at Community Presbyterian Church in Clarendon Hills, Illinois. He has published over 2,600 compositions, mostly for the church, ranging from music for organ, piano, handbells, and instrumental ensembles to a wide range of choral and vocal ensembles.

In his free time, Gregg enjoys jazz, chocolate, and reading voraciously in any field.
