Lenten Way of the Cross — Station 12

1. Mary and John were the last disciples left at the foot of the cross; their comfort of each other was the only solace to be found in that moment. How can you more actively be the comfort to those around you grieving or suffering, often in silence and isolation?

1.  María y Juan eran los últimos discípulos que quedaban al pie de la cruz; su consuelo mutuo era el único consuelo que se podía encontrar en aquel momento. ¿Cómo puedes ser más activo el consuelo de los que te rodean en duelo o sufrimiento, a menudo en silencio y aislamiento?

2. Like Jesus’ side, Mary’s heart was pierced with unspeakable sorrow; how does our Blessed Mother’s own agony and grief bring her closer to you?

2. Al igual que el costado de Jesús, el corazón de María estaba traspasado por un dolor indescriptible; ¿de qué manera la propia agonía y el dolor de nuestra Santísima Madre la acercan más a ti?

3.  But for faith, neither Mary or John knew the “rest of the story” in that moment; but we do. How does knowing that the salvation was later won by the resurrected Christ bring hope and assurance in your life?

3. De no ser por la fe, ni María ni Juan sabrían el “resto de la historia” en aquel momento; pero nosotros sí. ¿Cómo te da esperanza y seguridad a tu vida el saber que la salvación fue ganada más tarde por Cristo resucitado?
