The Immaculate Conception celebrates God’s deep desire to be one with us. A desire so deep that God took on our very flesh and blood, becoming fully human. And so God also chose a fully human woman—Mary—to be the God-bearer. The saving power of God reached beyond the bounds of time and space and mortality to preserve Mary from sin, to bear the fully human, fully divine Savior, Christ the Lord. This Advent, let us all be filled with grace, bearing God’s presence, and singing joyfully.
La Inmaculada Concepción celebra el profundo deseo de Dios de ser uno con nosotros. Un deseo tan profundo que Dios asumió nuestra propia carne y sangre, haciéndose plenamente humano. Y así, Dios eligió también a una mujer plenamente humana -María- para que fuera la portadora de Dios. El poder salvador de Dios traspasó los límites del tiempo, del espacio y de la mortalidad para preservar a María del pecado, para dar a luz al Salvador plenamente humano y plenamente divino, Cristo el Señor. En este Adviento, llenémonos todos de gracia, llevemos la presencia de Dios y cantemos con alegría.
