Imagine the following: A very special guest is coming! You have been longing to see this person whom you love, miss and admire. Is it your daughter, brother, mom or perhaps an old friend? Whoever you have now pictured in your mind, use this metaphor to think that when waiting for a special visit we want to prepare. Prepare the house, the guest room, the kitchen, everything clean and in harmony to give a good impression; but more importantly, to welcome that special someone with the love, affection, care and warmth they deserve. Jesus invites us to see his coming as the coming of a special guest. Let us prepare our hearts to receive him and rejoice in the gift of the incarnation. Jesus, purify our hearts and help us prepare for your coming with a joyful and clean heart.
Imagínate lo siguiente: ¡Viene un invitado muy especial a tu casa! Has estado deseando ver a esta persona a quien tanto amas, extrañas y admiras. ¿Se tratará de tu hija, tu hermano, tus padres o quizás un viejo amigo? Quienquiera que hayas traido a tu mente, utiliza esta metáfora para pensar que cuando estamos a la expectativa de una visita especial, nos preparamos con esmero. Preparamos la casa, el cuarto de huéspedes, la cocina, todo esta limpio y en armonía para dar una buena impresión; pero más importante aún, para recibir a ese invitado especial con el amor, cariño y calidez que se merece. Jesús nos invita a ver su venida como la venida de un invitado especial. Preparemos nuestro corazón para recibirlo y alegrarnos por el don de la encarnación. Jesús, purifica nuestros corazones y ayúdanos a prepararnos para tu venida con un corazón alegre y limpio.
