The Bridesmaids

Year 1  ( 2022 – 2023 )

Text:

Matthew 25:1-13

Summary:

The parable of the bridesmaids and their lamps.

Prayer of Confession

Loving God,
Your people long for you.
We watch and wait for the coming of your Kingdom.
You have filled us with good things –
you give us hope for a more gracious world,
you give us your passion for justice,
you give us your promise of peace –
a promise that is never empty.
And yet, Holy One,
we exhaust ourselves in the stuff of this world,
and we let our hope run dry.
Our passion grows weary.
We let ourselves run on empty,
and we forget how to be refilled.
Replenish us. Restore us. Refresh us.
Let your never-failing light shine through us and within us.
