Hope of Resurrection

Year 1  ( 2022 – 2023 )

Text:

Romans 6:1-14

Summary:

Paul writes that we “who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death.” Christ was raised; we shall be, too. We are freed from sin.

Call to Worship

One: In the beginning,
God broke through the chaos and called forth life.
All: This is God’s way.
One: When God’s people were in bondage,
God broke through their chains,
and made the way to freedom.
All: This is God’s way.
One: In the coming of Christ,
God breaks in through the back door
of our chaotic world to be with us.
All: This is God’s way.
One: In Christ’s death and rising,
God breaks the very chaos of death to set us free.
All: This was, is, and will forever be
the Way of God.
