Naaman is Healed

Prayer of Confession

Gracious God,

we seek your healing and wholeness.

And yet, Holy One,

we prefer that you give it to us on our own terms,

and in our own way.

You are kind to give us what we need,

and yet, when your giving is not according to our expectations,

we are quick to be angry, disoriented, disappointed,

Be gentle with us, we pray –

for we are tender, sore, and broken.

Wash over us with your grace.

Help us to be humble, open, and honest with you,

and with ourselves.

Restore us and renew us, we pray.
