Summary:
Joshua recounts the story of God’s deliverance from Abraham to Moses and on from there. He challenges the people to choose whom they will serve.
Call to Worship
One: God is calling us into Life:
All: the promise and the pain of it,
the wonder and the work of it,
the journey and the joy of it.
One: Other voices call us, too.
We’ve heard the call of violence,
All: but God calls us to peace.
One: We’ve heard the call of hate and cruelty,
All: but God calls us to love and kindness.
One: We’ve heard the call of greed and power,
All: but God calls us to generosity and justice.
One: God is calling us into Life.
All: Let us worship God, and God alone.
