Call to Worship

One: Come, and seek the ways of Wisdom…

All: Wisdom calls from the heights,

and takes her stand at the crossroads,

crying out to all people.

One: Come, and seek the ways of Wisdom…

All: “Come and live!” she cries out,

for Wisdom is better than jewels,

and nothing else we desire could compare.

One: Come, and seek the ways of Wisdom…

All: Before the Earth was formed,

before the mountains and the hills, the skies and seas,

God made Wisdom first, before anything else.

One: Come, and seek the ways of Wisdom…

All: And Wisdom played – God’s daily delight.

And Wisdom rejoiced – delighting in humanity.

And still Wisdom calls in the streets: “Come and live!”
