The Search is Over…

Voicesasone.com has a great feature that can be a powerful resource for you when planning music for any liturgy.  Say it’s the 19th Sunday in Ordinary Time, Year B, and you are racking your brain to come up with some great songs that really touch on the heart of the gospel message.  One thing you can do is go to www.voicesasone.com and scroll down to the search box at the bottom of the page. There you can type in key words that will help you find what you are looking for:

Once you enter that info a list of songs will appear.  SImply click on one of those titles and you will be taken to a page all about that song.  Here you can listen to a sample, download a score, and also see helpful usage information based on seasons, specific feast days, Sundays in ordinary time, etc.

Take note of the usage information that is listed under Topic, Liturgical Season, and Sunday of the Year.  These words will give you a clue as to what you can type into the search box when searching again later.

In Setting the Tone we try to give you as many links as possible for each suggestion, but may not always cover everything. Take a moment and do a search. Take a look around. You might find something else that works well for you.
