In today’s Gospel, a woman comes to a well to take care of her physical need for water. She meets Jesus there, and he talks to her instead about spiritual thirst. How often do we try to satisfy our spiritual need with the physical? It can be much easier to comfort ourselves with things we can see and touch than to truly look inside and take care of the needs of the spirit. “Tree of Life” by Aaron Thompson provides a quiet moment to soothe the soul, a beautiful meditation on mercy and grace.

En el Evangelio de hoy, una mujer va a un pozo para satisfacer su necesidad física de agua. Allí se encuentra con Jesús quien le habla de la sed espiritual. ¿Cuántas veces intentamos satisfacer nuestra necesidad espiritual con lo físico? Puede ser mucho más fácil consolarnos con cosas que podemos ver y tocar que mirar verdaderamente en nuestro interior y ocuparnos de las necesidades del espíritu. “Árbol de la vida”, de Aaron Thompson, ofrece un momento de tranquilidad para calmar el alma, una hermosa meditación sobre la misericordia y la gracia.
