Messiness or godliness? Seeking God Through Design Theory

It is said that you can tell a lot about a designer by looking at what they have designed. Human beings like things to be neat and tidy. We like straight lines and crisp edges. We like efficiency, consistency, and speed. But, consider nature and the natural world. Processes seem so slow. Stems and trunks grow crooked. No petal, leaf, snowflak, rock, blade of grass is quite the same as another. So, what does looking at this design (nature) tell us about the designer (God)? What kind of artist is God? Join Br. David Paul Lange, OSB, for this Week 4 presentation!

This session was originally broadcast on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 as part of GIA Publications’ “Summer Series.” For more conversations, check out the series playlist on GIA’s YouTube channel.
